Taylor Jenkins

Taylor is a lifelong resident of PEI and currently lives in Rice Point. She is a mother of 3: Bailey, Jaylin and Tristen.  Taylor has worked for Health PEI as an administrative assistant since 2007 in many different areas of the health system. Taylor made the decision to become an Autism Society board member in 2017 after receiving an autism diagnosis for her youngest son. She enjoys having the opportunity to assist in the work that the Society does, as well as meeting parents who understand the challenges but also the rewards of raising a child with special needs.

Nicole Sellar

Nicole Sellar is an employee of the Public Service Commission. Also, Nicole and her husband Derek have recently become owners/operators of a small family business. Nicole joined The Autism Society of PEI as a member a few years ago when her son was diagnosed to be on the spectrum. Nicole recently joined the Board of Directors in 2021. Nicole loves spending time with her family ~ Her husband, 2 sons and extended families.  Together they love camping, boating & pool days. Nicole enjoys photography, cooking and trying new foods! I’m so pleased to have this opportunity to represent families as a Director and as a parent.

I received my CPA designation in early 2023 and have been working in public accounting for over five years. Currently, I am an Advisory Services Manager at Fitzpatrick and Company. In my role, I assist with business expansions, transactions, and reorganizations, as well as providing traditional tax and assurance services. In addition to my professional responsibilities, I am actively involved in the community. I serve as the board treasurer for the Autism Society and sit on the Provincial Credit Union External Audit and Risk Committee. In my free time, I enjoy staying active by working out, playing soccer and golf. 

Colette Richard

Colette Richard lives in Richmond, PEI, with her partner Rick and their three children. Since her youngest was diagnosed with autism in 2022, she’s been an active member of the PEI Autism Society, passionate about supporting families and always eager to learn. She works as Program Coordinator at Cap Enfants, the French Family Resource Centre, which recently partnered with the Autism Society to better support French-speaking families. Outside of work, Colette enjoys camping, relaxing at the family beach house, and volunteering at her children’s sporting events. A devoted mom, she takes pride in being her children’s biggest cheerleader in everything they do.  Colette is truly excited to be part of the PEI Autism Society board and looks forward to contributing to the meaningful work the Society does for families across the Island.

Hannah Povey

Hannah has worked in the Public Service since 2014, with over a decade of experience in IT and Project Management. Currently employed as a Senior Operations Advisor at the Federal Government supporting strategic initiatives and operational improvements. Her connection with the Society began in 2015 after her son was diagnosed with Autism, which inspired her to advocate for better support and services.  Hannah previously served as Vice President of the Board starting in 2016 and recently returned as a Director at Large. She’s passionate about helping families feel supported while building a stronger and more inclusive community. 

Matt Gallant

Matt joined the board of directors in April of 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia. Matt has previous board of director experience with Triathlon PEI. His is currently employed by the federal government and has over 15 years experience working in the field of real property. Matt has a child on the spectrum and his family has benefited greatly over the years from the programs and services offered through the Autism Society of PEI. When he is not working, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and being active outdoors.

Sarah Mackenzie

Sarah MacKenzie is a new resident of PEI, moving here following her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, where she worked for three years in private practice in both pediatric and adult therapy, recently moving to a solely pediatric and youth mental health role. Sarah is passionate about the autism community and has received additional training in Autism Counselling and Executive Function Coaching. Prior to moving to the island, Sarah was involved with Autism Nova Scotia for placements in her master’s, and is excited to bring this knowledge, and her work with autism as an Occupational Therapist to the Autism Society board. In her free time Sarah works as a first responder for a major U18 hockey team, and enjoys sports, walks, and spending time with her self-made family.

Jillian Larivée

Jillian Larivée is an islander born and raised, and a dedicated real estate agent with Northern Lights Realty PEI, bringing a passion for helping clients find or sell their dream homes. As the proud big sister to her brother Julian, who lives with severe autism and was diagnosed at the age of 2, Jillian has a deep personal connection to the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island (ASPEI). Growing up with her mother, Krista MacGillivray, a long-time ASPEI member, Jillian has been involved with the organization for much of her life and proudly joined its board in 2024. With a background in customer service since entering the workforce, she combines her commitment to community and client care to make a meaningful impact in both real estate and autism advocacy.

Madison Wood

Madison Wood

Director at Large

Madison Wood resides in Miscouche, PEI, undiagnosed until age twenty with autism. Madison struggled in her childhood, yet through commitment and dedication, she was able to attend college, where she received her ECE. While furthering her education, she worked as an ECE and IBI worker. She is currently employed full-time at Little Angels Daycare. Madison strives to advocate for autistic individuals and early intervention. She has made it her life’s passion to advocate for autistic individuals. It is her goal in life not to have anyone struggle like she did. She has been on the board for four years.
