The Autism Society of PEI strives to enhance the lives of Autistic Islanders and their families. As a community based organization, we encourage understanding, acceptance, and inclusion!

It is important to embrace and understand the diversity of individuals with Autism Spectrum.

Autism is considered an example of Neurodiversity. Autistic individuals have unique strengths and challenges.

The level of intellectual functioning among Autistic people varies widely, extending from profound impairment to superior levels.

People with Autism often have co-occurring conditions including: Epilepsy, Depression, Anxiety and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity disorder.

Prevalence rates of Autism diagnosis continue to rise steadily, early identification can lead to optimal outcomes.

The Autism society of PEI is here to support through the stages of pre-diagnosis and beyond.

Our scope of support includes:

    • Social Programming,
    • Parent and Caregiver supports,
    • Education and training resources,
    • Navigational pathways,
    • Advocacy resources.

We provide meaningful resources to support the unmet needs of Autistic islanders and their families.

Autism Society of Prince Edward Island is:
